Sixth Firefly - [Voice]/[Action]

[Voice]

[Lately all Seto can think about is home, probably because he has nothing better to do when laying in his bed. Images of what's left of the cities and small villages flash through his mind. Everything is so dominated by the wildlife he has no idea what it could have been like for those who lived there before...whatever happened to his world.

But it dawns on him, other people must've lived in an alternate Japan right? So why not ask them? It'll give him something to do too so might as well.]

I've heard that some people here are from Japan. A different Japan than other's but they're all similar in some way and I was wondering...what's it like there? Are there a lot of people? Is the red tower special?

[He goes quiet for a moment then lets out a soft, almost sad sounding chuckle] I'm sorry, I'm just a little curious... [A pause] O-Of course I wouldn't mind hearing about other worlds too. Anything is fine..

[Action]

[Once the sun goes down, Seto will be out on the roof of community building three, just laying there to stare up at the stars. To be honest it brings him comfort when he stares at shining lights in the sky. For the past ten years at home, they have been his only company since his grandpa and him never really talked all too much, especially near the end of his life.

In any case, he'll be up there for a good majority of the night, he may even fall asleep]

[It seemed like a really nice night out, so Nagisa decided to hold off on going to bed and enjoy the scenery. While looking up at the sky, she happened to notice a figure laying on the roof. And a rather familiar-looking figure, at that. She waits a moment for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, and then finally notices who it is. She speaks up enough for him to hear her, trying not to be too loud and wake people up.]

...Seto? Is that you?

[Seto doesn't even hear Nagisa coming up on to the roof, either because she's too quiet or he's just too far off in dream land to realize that she's there. But her voice does carry through and he blinks, tilting his head back so he's looking at her upside down.]

Yeah it's me! [Smile then a blink] What are you doing up here Nagisa?

[Probably a bit of both. Regardless, once he replies, she smiles and waves. ...not sure if he can see it, but.]

Oh, hello! Umm, it looked really nice out, so I thought I'd just stay up for a bit longer and... I guess I ended up up here. [A small laugh. She feels kinda silly. Why are you on a roof Nagisa. Gosh.] How about you?

[He returns the wave with a smile. He's still used to seeing pretty well in the dark, NIGHT VISION RULES. But he laughs with her]

I came up here to look at the stars. They're always so nice to gaze at on nice nights...you know?

Mhhhhm, I agree! It is really nice. How long have you been up here?

[She slowly goes over to Seto to sit next to him. Sloooowly. Carefuuuully. This is hard since she can't see very well in the dark okay.]

I think it's been about an hour now. At least it felt like the sun has been down that long.

[Seto sits up and leans back, holding out his hand just in case she needs help getting over to him]

So you've been out here since sunset?

[She takes it and steadies herself into a sitting position beside him. There we go.] ..A-ahh, you don't mind, do you? [Referring to her sitting here.]

Uh huh!

[He makes sure she sits down before letting go of her hand and chuckles] I don't mind at all. I really love the company.

Alright then; Thank you!

[She pulls her knees close to her, hugging them as she looks up at the sky. It really was a nice night out. The atmosphere was perfectly clear, so it was easy to see the stars. Hikarizaka definitely didn't have many opportunities like this, being a large town or small city and all.]

Do you come out here to do this a lot, Seto?

Normally I try to do this every night but since I've been sick lately, I haven't had the chance to. Have you ever done this? Here or at home that is.

[Going to lay back down, hope you don't mind Nagisa. It's just easier to stare up at the stars than strain his neck by tilting it back for a while]

[Oh, right... He's been really sick lately, hasn't he?] How are you feeling?

Umm... I have a few times, yes. I'd go on walks outside to do it every once in a while. [And then freak Tomoya out by suddenly reciting lines from a play? um okay Nagisa. :'|a]

[She doesn't mind at all. In fact, once he does, she'll give him a smile before looking back up at the sky.]

Much better, thank you. A little weak feeling still but much better other than that. [Have a thumbs up]

Really?? Were the stars like this back home? [He wants to hear alllll about your home Nagisa. So he kinda looks at her, returning the smile, then looking back at the sky when she does]

Ahh good. I'm glad! I was worried.

Pretty much, yep! They were a little harder to see at home though since the town I lived in was really big--almost big enough for people to sometimes call it a city. Lots of lights and all. But it was still really nice.

[He chuckles.

AHH so jealous of you Nagisa you have no idea. He has no clue what it would be like living in such a place since his world is well...messed up pretty bad. But he stares back at her] Is that what a city is like?

Kind of. Cities are normally really busy, big, and have lots of lights. Like Tokyo. I don't think you can really see the stars at all in those places. But Hikarizaka is a really small city, so you can still see them.

Oh.... [Going quiet. He wants to see Japan like that one day, even though it's practically impossible in his world. It's upsetting to say the least]

[Nagisa notices the quietness and frowns. A-ahh... did she say something wrong?] U-um... I-I'm sorry.

[He blinks at the sudden apology and instantly feels bad] W-What are you apologizing for??

O-oh, well, you seemed disappointed, s-so... [..awkward. Now she feels slightly embarrassed. Umm.]

O-Oh! W-Well I just wish I could see something like that back home one day, that's all. [Not that it'll happen but he has hopes]

Oh... um, if you don't mind me asking, where are you from, Seto? What's your home like?

[Okay, now he's going to go quite again Nagisa. Should he tell her the truth or tell her a lie...? He doesn't want her to be sad for his sake but he doesn't want to lie to her of all people. They're friends...]

It's...empty. [Good enough description right?]

[Nope. Not quite. Nagisa's still curious. Worried now, but curious.]

...Empty?

Y-Yeah...

[How to put this delicately....is there a way to do such a thing when his world is as it is?] There aren't...any people around anymore... [Better than saying that they're flat out dead]

[Nagisa just goes quiet, unsure of what to say. No people around? What happened? Did they leave? Are they... dead? She's not sure if she should even press on about this. So all she can think of to say is-]
