[Lately all Seto can think about is home, probably because he has nothing better to do when laying in his bed. Images of what's left of the cities and small villages flash through his mind. Everything is so dominated by the wildlife he has no idea what it could have been like for those who lived there before...whatever happened to his world.

But it dawns on him, other people must've lived in an alternate Japan right? So why not ask them? It'll give him something to do too so might as well.]

I've heard that some people here are from Japan. A different Japan than other's but they're all similar in some way and I was wondering...what's it like there? Are there a lot of people? Is the red tower special?

[He goes quiet for a moment then lets out a soft, almost sad sounding chuckle] I'm sorry, I'm just a little curious... [A pause] O-Of course I wouldn't mind hearing about other worlds too. Anything is fine..

[Action]

[Once the sun goes down, Seto will be out on the roof of community building three, just laying there to stare up at the stars. To be honest it brings him comfort when he stares at shining lights in the sky. For the past ten years at home, they have been his only company since his grandpa and him never really talked all too much, especially near the end of his life.

In any case, he'll be up there for a good majority of the night, he may even fall asleep]

[Nope. Not quite. Nagisa's still curious. Worried now, but curious.]

...Empty?

Y-Yeah...

[How to put this delicately....is there a way to do such a thing when his world is as it is?] There aren't...any people around anymore... [Better than saying that they're flat out dead]

[Nagisa just goes quiet, unsure of what to say. No people around? What happened? Did they leave? Are they... dead? She's not sure if she should even press on about this. So all she can think of to say is-]

I-I see...

[Seto flusters a little and tries his best to smile for her. C'mon, don't frown or anything now Nagisa!]

B-But I had my grandfather so it wasn't all too lonely...[Even though it really was]

[...Just one person other than himself?]

...O-oh... T-then that's good, at least. I'm glad you weren't too lonely.

U-Uh huh!

[At this point though he just lets the smile fade slowly as his eyes begin to burn with that feeling like he's going to cry. Which if Nagisa can catch it, his eyes are watering so he quickly puts an arm over his eyes and forces a smile, his voice shaking]

I-I wasn't lonely at all..

[She doesn't notice his watering eyes, but she does look at him when he covers his eyes with his arm. The voice shaking is noted as well. She tries to move her head to where she may be able to see his arm-covered face but... that doesn't really work, of course.]

...Seto..?

[Seto moves his arms but still covers his eyes as he starts to rub them with his hands though a few stray tears may roll down the sides of his face as he bites his lip]

[Then she sees it. O-oh god... did she say something wrong? Well, more importantly, did she upset him? Make him cry...?]

...I-I'm sorry...

[Come on Seto, now is not the time for this! Especially not in front of Nagisa! So wiping his eyes with his sleeve, he takes a deep breath, exhaling shakily]

D-Don't apologize! You didn't do anything wrong...

B-but... you're... [Crying. Seto's crying, and Nagisa feels like it's completely her fault.] ...A-are you sure...?

I'm sure! Please don't feel bad...please.. [He sits up and frowns. Even if she had done something wrong, which she didn't, he would never blame her]

[Starting to actually cry at this point, she runs her eyes, trying to wipe the incoming tears away.]

O-Okay... I-if you say so...

[ OHAOGhwarg God what did he just do. He is a horrible protector. So gently he pulls Nagisa into a small hug, holding her gently like she's the most fragile thing in this world]

Don't cry Nagisa...

[Fragile... dreams. Nagisa just buries her face into Seto's hug, trying to hide her tears from him. He's the one who's upset, isn't he? So he shouldn't be worried about her! ..And she shouldn't be crying in front of him.. She should be trying to support him, shouldn't she...?]

B-but... y-you were... c-crying...

[As she buries her face, Seto holds her a bit closer, almost back on the verge of tears himself but he has to stay strong! No more tears, especially since it's making Nagisa of all people cry...why is she crying for him?]

I didn't mean to cry....I'm sorry please don't cry...

[As he does so, he may feel her nodding slightly in his arms, and trying to squeeze one of her hands in to wipe her tears away. She doesn't say anything though, in fear of her starting to cry more if she did. Why was he apologizing for him crying? It was clearly her fault, so... or at least, she thinks so. Regardless, yeah, she can't bring herself to speak up right now. Nodding will have to do.]

[To try and comfort her, Seto pets her head gently. He can't think of a much better way to do so since apologizing might just make her even more upset...so until she stops crying, he's just going to continue this]

[After another minute or two, Nagisa finally calms down a bit and backs away from Seto's embrace. She gives him a small smile.]

...T-thank you, Seto.

[He returns the smile with a sad one of his own. He's glad she stopped crying but it kinda makes him worry.]

Y-You're welcome.

[She can tell. At this point, she feels that it may just be best to change the subject. So she'll look away from Seto and back up at the sky.]

Since you do this often, do you know any of the constellations?

[And Seto will just follow her gaze, staring back up at the sky he loves so much]

My grandfather taught me a few of them, he really loved stars. In the observatory I lived in he had a giant telescope took look up at the stars with!
