[Seto knew something was wrong when he woke up. Baldr had even been acting weird. So he tried to contact Lightning over the journals. She should've come home from her mission by now. Baldr was no doubt just anxious to get back to her. But when he tried to set up a filter, it instantly broke.

He knows just as much as anyone what a broken filter means, and even when someone's on a mission, something like this doesn't happen. But despite knowing he went to her house with Baldr and found that all trace of her was gone. The dog had gone around the house and sniffed about for his owner but there was nothing. Not even the clothes in her closet were there.

It was just so bare. What he feared was true.

When he returned home, he took a minute to sit down with the dog and hug him, burying his face into his black fur as the tears threaten to ove. It hurt, knowing that yet another one of his friends was now gone. Nagisa, Terra, Kazuma and now her. Lightning being another one of those who was very important to him. Especially considering what had happened between them not too long ago. He wanted to fix them. To fix what he had broken.

It takes him a few minutes before he finally grabs his journal and opens it up to make the annoucement. It’s been a while since he’s done something like this so for a good few seconds, there’s nothing but silence as he tries to bring himself to say those words.]

…Lightning has been sent home. [Said gently and sadly. He pets Baldr's head as he lays down beside him.]

I… don’t know if she left anything behind for anyone. I went to her house but nothing’s there. [Granted he didn’t snoop around but he felt it was wrong to do so, even though she isn’t here anymore.

He still feels like he has to be careful where he steps when it comes to her. He wanted to gain her trust back, he was slowly getting there but now… no, come now Seto, maybe she’ll come back one day. And he can try again, even start from scratch if he has to.

“Friends always see each other again.”

Right…

He isn't sure what else to say so there's a long pause before he speaks up again.] Does anyone want to go on a walk with Baldr and I? I know it’s cold but I think he’s sad… [Seto’s no expert on dogs by any means, he’s more of a cat whisperer, but still. Maybe a walk will do him some kind of good. Seto too.

Whether anyone has decided to join him or not, a little bit after his entry goes up, Seto will be walking around the village bundled up with a big black dog at his side. He’ll be seen just about anywhere around the village so feel free to bug him!]

[As he scratches his ear, Baldr practically grins himself and leans his head into Emil's hand, tail wagging happily. It turns into a good day when you get attention from new, friendly people

Seto can't help but laugh now] I think he likes you already.

[This gets Emil to laugh as he continues with the ear-scritching, pleased that Baldr is so obviously enjoying it.]

I think so too. He's kind of like Sial in that sense-- Sial likes just about everybody.

[And Baldr continues to lean his head against Emil, unmoving and enjoying every moment of the new found affection.

Seto however blinks and tilts his head] Sial? Is that your dog's name? [Because you know, you should've brought him along!!]

Oh, no-- Sial's my chimera. It's, um... it's kind of like a cat. It's a type of monster from my world.

[Plz don't be freaked out by the word monster, Seto, he's really a nice monster!]

[As long as it isn't a dog that breathes fire all should be well. But you mentioned the word cat and SETO LIKES CATS.

His world's population is made up of 98% cats]

I've never heard of a chimera before [Seto you haven't heard of a lot of things] but it sounds cool! Do you think I can meet it some day?

[Emil is pleased by how many people here aren't bothered by monsters, really. It's such a nice change from his own world.]

Sure! Sial loves meeting new people, especially if they pay lots of attention to him. He's kind of an attention hog like that.

[He laughs a little]

He's definitely like a cat then. They all seem to really love attention. But thank you, Emil!

Yeah, they kind of do. And you don't have to thank me for that... it's what friends do, right?

Oh, um, I guess you're right! [He smiles a bit sheepishly.]

Should we start walking now?

Okay, let's get going! Where did you want to go? Maybe out into the woods for a while?

That sounds like a good idea! What do you think, Baldr? [Looking down at his doggy companion]

Baldr likes the woods! [YES THAT WAS BALDR TALKING italics = baldr]

[Emil can't help but laugh at Baldr's enthusiasm.]

That sounds good to me, just as long as we don't go too far so we can be back before it gets dark.

Yeah, it wouldn't be good if we were stuck outside at night in this weather.

[Though if need be Seto can build a fire for them to stay warm. HE'S A FIRE MAKING PROFESSIONAL AWYEAH]

Yeah. I don't mind camping trips as long as they aren't in the middle of the winter.

Do you go camping a lot here, Emil?

Only sometimes, because it's no fun to go by yourself.

That's true... [He always hated it when he was by a campfire by himself. It was a lot better when Sai and PF were with him] We should go camping together then!

That sounds like fun! I'd love to do that once it starts getting warmer again. And Baldr could even come too if he wants.

[Seto beams and looks down at Baldr]

What do you think, Baldr? Want to come with us when we go camping?

Yes! Baldr wants to go camping!

[Emil laughs.]

Okay, then we've got a plan! All three of us can go camping later in the spring.

I can't wait, it'll be fun! Right? [He looks at his furry friend and he gives a bark of approval and he chuckles. Warning: Crow might end up stalking Seto to wherever they go.]

Do you think Sial would want to come too?

I dunno... he's kind of like a cat in some ways. He likes to go outside, but I think he's gotten a little spoiled and used to being indoors all the time. I don't know how much he'd like going camping.
