[ Firo let's Seto do that for a few moments, just holding the kid and lightly patting his back.

In the back of his mind, he notices Seto practically clawing at his shoulder; it makes him worry. Not for his own skin, he deserves a whole lot more hurt than this, but for Seto. Perhaps unwisely, he decides to force some words past his constricted throat, though anything slightly intelligent eludes him. ]

Seto... I-I'm sorry.

[All Seto can do is shake his head and sniffle. Why is he apologizing? If anyone should be apologizing it should be him. Firo's done nothing wrong. He takes a deep, shaky breath to try and find his voice.

When he speaks, his voice cracks] N-No...

[ "No?" Surprised, Firo pulls back a little and looks down at Seto. Is he telling Firo to stop talking or is he actually saying he shouldn't apologize? Firo has to apologize. He has to do more than that, to make it up to Seto, but he hasn't yet figured out what it is he needs to do. ]

...What?

D-Don't apolog-gize... [He has the hiccups now.

But now that Firo's pulled back, he leans away from the hug just a little too look up at the other, tears still rolling down his cheeks.]

[ He blinks and continues to stare at Seto. It's confusing, to say the least. Nearly anyone else would have already started yelling or scolding him for an even lesser offense- like the domino incident. Here he was the one to yell at Seto, the one to dredge up the bad memories, and still Seto's not mad at him? ]

...What're you talkin' about?

[ Then he tries to pull Seto back into a tight hug, staring blankly over his head. It's his fault, he's sure of that. ]

[Seto just allows himself to be pulled back into the hug, mainly because he doesn't have the strength or the will to fight against it. Besides, he always welcomes hugs, no matter the situation.

His grip on Firo's short slackens and he takes a deep breath]

D-Don't... [Hic]

Don't..? Don't apologize?

[If he wasn't so angry with himself, he would laugh. How does Seto worry about other people at times like these? Firo shakes his head and pats Seto's back as he lets out a small sigh.]

Seto... I need to. I made you cry. You deserve an apology.

No! Y-You didn't ma-ake me cry...

[Curse these hiccups. It makes it difficult to get the fact that Firo didn't make him cry, through.]

[It'd be nice to think this wasn't his fault, but Firo's just not convinced. He sighs and asks, as gently as he can:]

Then why're you cryin'?

I-I don't know...

[And this time he just sniffles instead of hiccups. He really doesn't know why he's crying, he doesn't want to cry but he can't stop]

It's not because I yelled at you?

[Seeing as how Seto started crying pretty soon after Firo started talking... it seemed like something simple enough for even Firo to realize.]

[Shaking his head. Seto is confusing, you should know this by now Firo]

Okay, so... You don't know what it was?

[...Man, Seto, Firo loves you but all this thinking is hurting his brain. Maybe it's time for a slightly different approach.]

Well, what's botherin' you?

[He pauses then after a moment he puts on a faint smile and shakes his head]

It's nothing...

[He blinks. Does Seto really expect him to believe that?]

But it's not okay!

But I'm okay now...

[Isn't that good? Seto's good at recovering quickly! And besides, he still doesn't want Firo to worry about him]

[That sounds like something Firo would say... He thought Seto was beyond denial like that.]

You honestly think I'll believe that? Just cryin' over somethin' doesn't fix it.

It feels like it did.

[Really! He got all those emotions out so he feels a bit better]

You're sure about that?

[He really wants to trust Seto on this, but if he's lying Firo doesn't want to allow Seto to ignore his sadness.]

...I can't read your mind, you gotta tell me the truth.

I am telling you the truth! I'm okay now.

[Here Firo, have a big cheesy smile]

[That gets a reluctant smile out of him, and he gives Seto a quick hug.]

...Okay. You will tell me if somethin's wrong, right?

Of course!

[And he gladly returns that hug, with a little squeeze too.] You have to tell me if something's wrong too, 'kay?

...Okay.

[He tries to keep from sounding too reluctant; he's mentally crossing his fingers. Sorry, little bro, but Firo's a giant hypocrite with things like this.]

I guess I won't be able to talk you outta this thing with the Malnosso?

[Seto averts his eyes a little and slowly begins to shake his head. He can understand why Firo is so worried about the whole thing, he's still a little doubtful that this will go well himself but. The only other world he's ever seen has been his own and well... it wasn't a very nice world.

He wants to see what the other people here were able to see while they grew up. To maybe get a small taste of what a real world is like.]

No...

[He's not pleased to hear it, but that's the answer he expected. Still, Seto's life isn't Firo's to run.]

Okay, then...

[He slings his arm around Seto's shoulders.]
