[I hurt...I tire...and I collapse.

When I'm staring into the darkness...I find myself somehow entranced by it.

Suddenly I hear laughter. Fearless, mean...and yet kind....it calls to me.

The days we spent together are long gone, drifting away like clouds in the breeze. Even though memories are often fleeting.

All I need to do is close my eyes and your face appears...clear, and forever young.

Seto sits quietly in the dull, doll filled room, his forehead resting on his knees as his shoulders give a small shake every now and then. His hands run through his hair but stayed atop his head, his red-brown hair messily entwining around his fingers. The flashlight that lays on the other side of the room shines on the young boy, making the silver skull ring on his finger sparkle. In front of him is a crow's feather, just like it had appeared once before back in his world to signify that his best friend...is gone. This place has taken it upon itself to snatch him away while reminding him where he died.

The journal lies next to him, open and only recording the sniffles that come from Seto every now and then. He mumbles quietly before shutting it]

O-Okay....

[About fifteen minutes later, there will be a knock on Seto's door.

If Seto doesn't answer, Giles will try the door and see if it's locked. If it's not, he'll step inside.]

[Seto hears the knock but makes no attempt in getting up to open it. His room still looks like that place and he can't force himself to look up even if he tried.

So luckily the door is unlocked and Giles may see Seto pressed against the back wall, huddling and shaking]

[Giles looks around for a second or two, taking in surroundings that are once again new and unfamiliar. But Seto isn't hard to see - moving far more quickly than anyone might expect just from looking at him, Giles is by Seto's side in very short order, kneeling down next to him and resting a careful hand on his shoulder.]

Seto?

[He jumps a little when he feels the new pressure placed on his shoulder but instantly recognizes the voice so no need to look up, right? Right. To be honest he's resisting the urge to hug him so he just grips his blue sleeves and sniffles]

H-Hi Giles...

Hello.

...is there anything you need? At the very least, you probably need to drink something.

N-No, I'm okay....

[For now at least. He hiccups] T-Thank you...

You're welcome.

[And, although he is a little wary about doing so, Giles will give Seto a tight hug.]

[The moment he hugs him, Seto doesn't hesitate in returning it, hiding his face in the other's shoulder as the tears begin to overflow again. Hope you don't mind Giles.

Why do the world's love to torture him and take away his friends? He just doesn't get it.]

[Congrats, kiddo. You've found a guy who could not mind less if he tried.

Giles doesn't understand it, either, but he knows how much it can hurt. So until Seto runs out of tears, Giles will hug him and not let go and let Seto cling as tightly as he wants. When he makes a move otherwise, it's to brush some hair back from the boy's face or run a hand lightly over his back.

He doesn't say anything for a while - there's not much he can say - but he's not going anywhere anytime soon.]
