Fifteenth Firefly - [voice]
[ It’s been over two weeks since the New Year started, since Seto has considered himself yet another year older. That makes him seventeen this year, two years older than what he arrived here as.
Seto has never celebrated his birthday in his whole life. He’s celebrated his friend’s birthdays here, but not his nor even the old man’s back home. For as long as he can remember, his grandfather would just mark him a year older every year at some point. It isn’t likely that the old man actually knew when his real birthday was since he had only been with him since he was five. He was just an old man he lived with, an old man he rarely spoke to even until the very end.
But in his world, there had never been a point to celebrate a birthday or a way to, because they have nothing, not like they do here in Luceti. Not to mention, whoever is born into his world would have nothing to know of the date they were born. Survivors too because even if they remembered their birthdays, they would've no doubt lost track of time and dates.
There was never any to tell what month is coming up or which is ending. The only way to tell what time of the year it must be was when seasons would begin to change, watching the leaves, grass and temperature all change. It's how things were for him and his grandfather at least. He can't speak for the survivors whom he doesn't even know are alive, only assume if there are even any.
...It makes him wonder briefly to himself if the silver haired girl and Crow know theirs at all.
He's not one to complain, and really he won't, not about this. But... it would still be nice to have just one day that he can celebrate his birth, to be grateful for still being alive for another year when all others have died and to be grateful to his parents for giving birth to him. ]
What do you do when you don’t have a birthday? Like you can’t remember when it is. [The question comes after a moment after he opens up his journal.] Is there any way to just... make up a birthday?

action;
He gives PF a slight once-over before he speaks up.]
So what kinda name is "PF" supposed to be, anyway? [Crow...]
action;
But Seto just let's PF do the talking here, smiling down at her]
PF stands for Personal Frame. An interactive digital assistant equipped to respond to my user's emotional state, whatever it may be.
action;
Guess I can see why you go with "PF" rather than a weird or long name like "Personal Frame"...
[Crow don't say her name is weird, that's rude...]
action;
It is not weird! [She'll admit it's a long name (hence why she likes to go with PF) but IT'S NOT WEIRD IT'S WHAT SHE IS... ]
B-Be nice, Crow.
action;
Fine, fine...anyway, like he said, you can call me "Crow", C-R-O-W!
[Spelling it out was probably unnecessary, Crow...]
action;
[As she speaks, Seto scoots onto the bed and sits there with her on his lap] He found me, actually.
action;
Yeah, that's right. First time I've ever seen a human there before, so of course I had to check 'em out. [He teasingly pokes Seto's shouler.] Who'd have thought that he'd actually end up being my best friend, huh?
action;
But at the same time, she's somewhat... relieved, happy. Because after she died, Seto at least had someone at his side, to keep him from being lonely in that dilapidated world.
Seto just chuckles and smiles at Crow] I never would've thought we would at first. [Since you know, locket stealing and all. At the time he did hope Crow would become his friend at the very least when he got his locket back, but best friend? He didn't think of it until they kissed and he said they were.] I'm really glad we did end up becoming best friends. It wouldn't feel right if you weren't.
action;
[Crow then turns his attention to PF--he probably didn't notice the jealousy, but he is still kind of curious about her now.] So what about you, huh? Seto said he found you in a train station or something?
action;
Ah--yes! I was located in the train station office next to the platform. It was there where he found me.
She was hanging from a pipe above some water. She was calling out for help.
I am not completely waterproof.
action;
[He never got to check out that part of the area, so he'd be interested to hear if there was anything cool there.]
action;
Much of our time had been spent playing with her in order to retrieve a gold plated key from her so we could proceed to the mall.
That's right. The door from the train station to the mall was locked. We were able to see a really beautiful sunrise while we were outside too!
action;
[Anything that we ourselves didn't already notice, anyway.]
action;
He hands PF over to Crow--please don't shake her--and scoots off the bed again to dig something out from under his bed. He pulls his red fish tin out and places it on the bed as he climbs back up himself then takes off the lid. Inside are a bunch of dirty, rusty items. Nothing particularly shiny aside from the star and moon that are somewhere in there.]
A lot of this stuff are things I found down there and other places. [He fishes out one item in particular. A flashlight! The one that shines green! So when he shines it on the wall next to them, there's a circle of green light] I found this in the mall when I was with Sai. It shows hidden messages that are written on walls. It's really cool!
action;
Really? Let me see it!
[And by that he...just reaches out to take it from him anyway rather than properly asking so that he can get a better look at it, oops.]
action;
I don't know how to write hidden messages on walls but back home there was a lot of them written around the mall and theme park.
action;
What kinda messages were they? [Did Seto see those messages we wrote at the park too...]
action;
The ones at the theme park were... [And then he blinks and looks at Crow curiously] written by you? [It comes out as a question because, while he may not remember the messages word for word, he does remember seeing Crow's name in a few of them]
action;
[You mean the ones about Seto being too slow to catch you, Crow...]
