Eighth firefly - [accidental video]/[action] - Early afternoon on the 18th

[Accidental Video]

[The first thing to be recorded is Seto falling down on his butt in the snow. His face and hair now covered in snow, as if snowball at hit him square in the face. Which... one did actually. He hadn't seen it coming. He blinks once, then twice, then brushes the cold snow off his already pink cheeks, giving someone that can't be seen, a pout.]

What was that for??

[And then another voice in the background replies] Ah... That's just how ya play the game. Sorry, Seto!

...Oh... [Totally unsure of what game this is, Seto decides to go ahead and give it a try himself. Mimicking what he saw Firo do, he gathers up some of the snow into a ball then hurls it at his target. Luckily it hits right on]

H--Hey! [Firo pauses for a moment, then laughs] ...Good job.

[Seto just grins then stands up, reaching down to pick up the journal] What's that game call-- [The feed cuts off as he shuts it]

[Action]

[ Anyone about town may spot two Luceti residents taking full advantage of the winter wonderland. Seto and Firo can be found racing through the snow and happily pelting each other with snowballs or pooling their efforts to make a snowman that's only slightly lopsided.

It's such fun that Firo's too distracted to try for a pretense of maturity and Seto has overcome his worry about the snow. Though perhaps the loss of fear due to the many layers of winter clothes he's swaddled in, which make Seto bear some resemblance to a marchmallow. The snow splatters on their clothes show that they've been at this for a while.

Stop by and join the fun? Or perhaps get caught in the crossfire? ]

(ooc: Blue is Seto, green is Firo. Action threads will be 3-person threads, the order will be You -> Seto -> Firo! If you decide to reply by video/voice/written, those replies will come only from Seto. )

[ Firo makes another snowball and starts walking slowly in the same direction as Seto. Maybe if they're careful they can corner him. ]

[Kyon starts ducking around the corner, hoping that they haven't decided to flank him or something.

'Seize the advantage! That's what Sun Tzu says... or something. Right?'

He's hoping to get behind them and then let loose. With his... one snowball. Better plans have been made.]

[Where oh where could their playmate have gone? Seto makes a run for it behind one of the trees where he saw the snowball come from and peeks around it to look for him, but sadly, no sign...]

I don't see him!

Maybe he moved. Keep your eyes peeled...

[ Firo jogs to catch up to Seto and then starts peering around the trees beyond Kyon's former hiding spot. ]

['Ah, sweet success!'

Kyon takes the time to bend down and start to scoop a second snowball before he spins around and hurls his one snowball wildly at them.]

[Seto barely has time to react when he spots the snowball coming right at him. He yelps as it hits him right in the face, freezes then slowly wipes the cold snow off his face. Laughing, he throws his snowball in the direction that other one came from]

I'll get you for that!

[ Firo watches Kyon's snowball speed by and hit Seto. He forms another snowball and fires back to around the spot he saw it come from, and then dashes off to take cover behind a tree. ]

[Kyon dodges one but isn't so lucky with the other, which smacks into his coat. He grimaces and tosses the other snowball, successfully hitting a tree, then starts to scoop more snowballs out, while ducking behind a tree himself again.]

[Seto gestures over to where he saw the snowball come from to for Firo then slowly begins to slink his way over there, scooping up a good amount of snow, patting it into a ball as he hides behind a bush close to Kyon]

[ Firo follows Seto and crouches behind a nearby tree. He too starts making some snowballs, but refrains from throwing them just yet. It might not be the best idea to give away their position. ]

['Alas, on my triumphal parade route, I seem to have lost track of where those two went.

Also my hands are cold, can't forget that.'

So he scouts around, trying to stay behind bushes. It would create more than its fair amount of noise if not for the snow -- so just a medium amount of noise.]

[Seto peeks out from behind the bush he's hiding behind and takes a quick look around before crawling along the ground to get to the next bush. He can totally be sneaky shhh]

[ Letting go of all caution, Firo throws a snowball to where he thinks he just heard the noise of movement. It's not at all accurate, and harmlessly hurtles over the bushes a few feet from Kyon. ]

['Hah! If this is the level of aim I'm dealing with, I can totally do this... maybe.'

He starts to just stockpile a few snowballs. And steals that one Firo just threw.]

[This time instead of looking around the bush, he leans up to take a look above, even if this means he's pretty vulnerable for a minute or two, he wants to get a look around and see if he can see Kyon]

[ Abandoning his shelter behind the tree, Firo advances with two snowballs. He throws them both right at the bushes. He knows they won't hit Kyon, but hopes they'll drive him out of hiding. ]

[The inviting target of Kid #1, along with the suspicion that they're coming for him which is quickly confirmed by the two snowballs hitting near him, do in fact drive Kyon to leap up, snowballs in hand. From his stockpile of six, he immediately throws one back in that general direction before grabbing the rest in the crook of his arm -- unfortunately exposed as he may be for the moment.]

[Seto yelps when he throws a snowball and ducks back down, only to peek up for another second to try and toss his own snowball at Kyon. Sadly he doesn't have good aim so it's probably going to hit the tree next to him]

[ Firo jumps and scrambles to avoid Kyon's snowball. He manages to throw one in response, but his haste makes it inaccurate and not liable to hit. ]

['Gee, I'm standing right here and no one seems to be able to hit me. I feel like the hero of an action movie.'

And given that, he will take his sweet time returning fire, one apiece relatively carefully aimed at the other two this time.]

[Maybe if Seto scoots closer he'll have a better chance of hitting Kyon. That's possible right? Well he's going to try it either way. So sneaking along the bushes, he slowly gets closer to his opponent and...

He throws a snowball! If Kyon doesn't move fast enough, it'll hit his side]

[ Having already been hit by Kyon's one snowball, Firo decides to just stay out in the open. He darts forward, foolishly not taking cover as he throws another snowball at Kyon. ]

[Welp. Kyon gets smacked twice this time.

'...It seems overconfidence was my downfall. But now all the cards are on the table! Nothing left to do but attack.'

He sweeps up his remaining ammunition and charges at the guy in the open, starting with a flurry of two snowballs.]

[As Kyon starts aiming for Firo, Seto makes a few more snowballs before throwing on at his back. Can he hit him?!]

[ Both snowballs hit Firo. With a laugh, he ducks down to make some of his own, throwing one at Kyon and one at Seto. ]
