Eighth firefly - [accidental video]/[action] - Early afternoon on the 18th

[Accidental Video]

[The first thing to be recorded is Seto falling down on his butt in the snow. His face and hair now covered in snow, as if snowball at hit him square in the face. Which... one did actually. He hadn't seen it coming. He blinks once, then twice, then brushes the cold snow off his already pink cheeks, giving someone that can't be seen, a pout.]

What was that for??

[And then another voice in the background replies] Ah... That's just how ya play the game. Sorry, Seto!

...Oh... [Totally unsure of what game this is, Seto decides to go ahead and give it a try himself. Mimicking what he saw Firo do, he gathers up some of the snow into a ball then hurls it at his target. Luckily it hits right on]

H--Hey! [Firo pauses for a moment, then laughs] ...Good job.

[Seto just grins then stands up, reaching down to pick up the journal] What's that game call-- [The feed cuts off as he shuts it]

[Action]

[ Anyone about town may spot two Luceti residents taking full advantage of the winter wonderland. Seto and Firo can be found racing through the snow and happily pelting each other with snowballs or pooling their efforts to make a snowman that's only slightly lopsided.

It's such fun that Firo's too distracted to try for a pretense of maturity and Seto has overcome his worry about the snow. Though perhaps the loss of fear due to the many layers of winter clothes he's swaddled in, which make Seto bear some resemblance to a marchmallow. The snow splatters on their clothes show that they've been at this for a while.

Stop by and join the fun? Or perhaps get caught in the crossfire? ]

(ooc: Blue is Seto, green is Firo. Action threads will be 3-person threads, the order will be You -> Seto -> Firo! If you decide to reply by video/voice/written, those replies will come only from Seto. )

O-Oh...

[He turns around and stuffs the slingshot back in his bag then comes out from behind the tree.] I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cheat!

[ Another stern nod. ]

You should be-

[ But then he can't hold his laughter in, and anyway he feels bad for Seto now. ]

Okay, okay, I was jokin'.

[aeorhgoaer Meany! You made Seto feel all bad about using his slingshot. He pouts and leans down, getting a relatively big handful of snow, lumping it into a nice ball. Hope you're ready because Seto throws it as hard as he can.

Oh but don't worry, Seto isn't really mad. In fact, he's smiling. It's just called payback]

[ Yikes! Firo didn't expect Seto to take such revenge. But fair's fair, so he stands there and takes it.

It hits him right on and some of the snow flies into his face. When he wipes it off, though, he's smiling too. ]

Happy now?

Yes.

[He grins happily] That's what you get for tricking me!

[ Firo laughs. ]

Revenge is sweet, huh?

[ Now that that's through with, he quickly leans down to make another snowball and toss it at Seto. ]

Yep!

[Though Seto can't say it's really his thing. He'd rather play fair with no revenge schemes but just that once was okay. He jumps at the sight of the snowball and makes a run for it behind the tree, but the snowball gets his arm before he can hide entirely. Curses! He'll just have to make some more]

[ Aw, but that's no fun! If this was a game between Firo and his friends it would probably be nothing but cheating and revenge. Still, Firo would feel bad playing that way with Seto.

He makes a snowball and starts walking to Seto's tree. Why bother with a hiding spot? If Seto doesn't hit him quickly enough Firo will try to peek around the tree and toss a snowball over his head. He doesn't actually want to hit him. ]

[He hears the snow crunching under Firo's shoes, and it seems to be getting louder so that means he's getting closer to him. Seto quickly balls up a snowball then stands up and tries to sneak his way around the tree, making sure to sneak behind Firo... arm up, ready to throw the snowball when he least expects it.]

[ Firo takes a quick step to round the bend around the tree, and is surprised to see Seto has vanished. He looks out at the other trees, wondering if Seto ran off somewhere to a new hiding spot. Quickly, Seto! ]

[He continues to follow Firo then suddenly...

SMACK. He throws the snowball right at the back of Firo's head. Hope you don't mind cold snow all over your head and neck as Seto runs away laughing]

I got you!

Wha-?!

[ Firo jumps as the snow hits him and reaches back to frantically wipe it off. He can't help but laugh despite the cold. ]

Nice hit.

[ Whirling around suddenly he throws his snowball over Seto's head. His aim is to startle him rather than hit him. ]

[He looks back and instantly notices spots the snowball coming right at him and ducks, hands on top of his head. That was sure close! He slides on the snow as he tries to run behind a tree and blinks as he falls on his butt.

Ow.]

[ Firo can't help but laugh at Seto's fall. He starts scooping up another snowball; there's no mercy in a snowball fight! Well, Firo's not planning on actually hitting Seto, but who says he can't tease him a bit? ]

Hurry up or I'll get you!

[Wah! So mean Firo, getting Seto while he's down? But he's smiling as he gets back up on his feet and runs behind a near by tree. Of course now's his turn to make some more snowballs, so he kneels down and starts to do so]

[ Firo soon chases after and tosses the snowball against the tree, just to try and startles Seto a little. Then he sets to stocking up on more snowballs, too caught up in the fun of it to find a hiding spot. ]

[And startle Seto it does. He almost yelps but holds it in and just jumps a little, biting his lip to hold in the noise. Grabbing two snowballs, he peeks back around the corner and tosses one at Firo... but it's aim is pretty bad so it only hits a tree way off to the side of Firo]

[ He laughs and holds his arms out. ]

C'mon, Seto, you're supposed to actually hit me!

[ Perhaps he's gotten a little overconfident, because Firo refuses to take shelter and hasn't yet started making more snowballs. ]

I-I know!

[Well damn... he was trying to hit him but he kinda sorta panicked! And he's at a bad angle to be trying to hit Firo right now. So he stands up, brushes off his pants then runs out into the open and hurls another snowball at Firo, a bit faster than the previous one]

[ The snowball hits him right on. Firo doesn't make a move to strike back, just smiling. ]

Good job.

[ He starts strolling over to Seto. ]

[In response to Firo getting closer, Seto jumps and hides back behind the tree but makes no attempt to pick up another snowball and throw it at him. Instead, he waits and just stares at the other]

[ Firo assumes that Seto's waiting for him to attack and decides to oblige him with a snowball aimed at the tree he's hiding behind. It shouldn't hit Seto unless he moves into its path; Firo doesn't want to start hitting him just yet. ]

[The snowball doesn't hit him but a few of the chunks of snow that fall from it get on his jacket and nearly makes him jump. What should he do what should he do??

Maybe he can try that trick again on Firo....

So he scoops up a decent amount of snow before sliding himself along the tree trunk, being sneaky about it]

[ And Firo does start walking forward to investigate behind the tree.

But big brother isn't quite stupid enough to fall for the same trap again. He has his own snowball ready as he waits for Seto to pop out. His plan is to whirl around when he hears Seto and to drop the snowball onto his head. Will Firo prevail, or will Seto be too sneaky for him? ]

[That is a good question. Seto slowly peeks his head around the tree to see if Firo is still trying to track him from the other side... ]
