1st Firefly - [Action/Accidental Video]

[In the lake closest to the village, a boy can be seen laying half in the water and half on the grass, passed out. Though it takes him a while, he finally opens his blue-purple eyes and looks around sleepily.] Where....am I...?

[After a moment, Seto realizes he's in the water and hoists himself up all the way out of the water and sits on the grass. Without knowing it, he accidentally presses a button on the journal so the video is turned on. But his attention turns towards the sky] How did I...get here? I wonder if I fell off the dam...No, that can't be. I never left that room with Crow... [A frown appears on his lips along with a long pause]

...Where did these clothes come from? I don't remember changing....[His voice fades off as he starts to panic and look around desperately, feeling his chest where his locket had been] W-Where's my locket?! D-Did I drop it?! Oh no... [He stares at the water but something catches his eye and quickly reaches to grab a white object that's lying in the grass. He smiles and holds it to his chest]

Thank goodnes-- AH! [He hunches over and cries out in pain as the wings on his back begin to flap slightly. Wait...wings?] N-No...I can't be dead...I was with Crow and I...I...[Once more, he looks up towards then sky, then scans the forest] S-Sai?! Where are you?! I don't want to be alone again...please...someone answer... [Tears begin to fall down his cheeks as his gaze falls to the ground]

So...I'm close to the survivors?? [He pauses and looks around] All I see are trees...I'm sitting right next to a lake and there's a river that's connected to it.

... Survivors? I am afraid I do not understand what you mean by that.

[ Putting that aside, though, she tries to think about if she's familiar with any places like that. Perhaps going out to look would be a good idea, and she leaves her room and begins to head out to find him. She can't just let him sit there like this. ]

All right, please wait there.

[...what] T-The people who are still alive in the world...

Okay...I'll be here waiting. [Waiting for this ghost girl to find him is better than wondering off on his own. He would more than likely get lost]

[ A pause, as she thinks about that. ] ... What is your world like, if I may ask?

[ And she is going to continue to look, keeping him occupied with their current conversation. She hasn't been here for a long time, but she's at least tried to get a feel for the place. ]

My world... [He pauses for a moment, not really catching the 'world' thing] Everyone is dead and the buildings are decaying from the inside out...there are ghosts everywhere and they can hurt you. But there are nice gho-- [Okay now he's registered the world thing] I-I'm sorry, I'm confused...aren't you in my world too..?

[ She's found water now, at least, and she decides to pick a direction and follow it, looking closely to see if she can catch a glimpse of the boy somewhere nearby. ] My, your world sounds rather depressing ... I certainly would not enjoy living in a place like that. I suppose it may be a good thing that you are here now. [ Except for the experiments, but they're still better than death. They're bearable.

But she may as well tell him now— ] This is not your world. This is a different world — Luceti.

I grew up there, well...I can't remember anything before I was 5 years old, but I'm used to being in a place like that. [He's forcing himself to make his voice sound a bit happier so she won't worry or anything.

He pauses] ....A different world..? But...how did I..?

I see. Well I can understand why you would be used to it then, I suppose. Though I would rather you not die along with the rest of your world. [ She doesn't know him, but she'd still rather him not die. That's horrible.

But, uh— ] Yes, a different world. It is rather hard to explain, and I, myself, am still ignorant of the details. Though I could explain what I know, if you like.

[ And she's spotted a young boy sitting near the water's edge up ahead, so she'll begin walking at a brisk pace to reach him. He might spot her, if he's looking around. ]

I don't want to die in my world either...I have to find the survivors and the silver haired girl first. [He sounds a bit more determined as he says that.]

Oh, I see...if you could, I'd like that.

[He is indeed looking around and spots someone walking towards him. He stands up and waves to her, partially to make sure he's not seeing things]

[ And she decides not to reply to any of that yet, instead focusing her energy on reaching him.

He isn't seeing things, though — she's really there and she's really walking up to him, reaching him now. ]

There you are. I am happy to have finally found you. [ She honestly wasn't sure if she'd be able to. ]

[Once she reaches him, he sighs slightly in relief, obviously looking a bit more relaxed now. He's glad she isn't a ghost or anything like that, so he's relieved to say the least. He gives her a small smile]

I'm glad you were able to find me all right. A-Ah thank you, by the way.

My, it is no problem at all! I enjoy helping those in need.

[ A pause. ] I would be happy to answer any questions you may have now — it is much easier to speak in person, I believe.

You're a very kind person.

Oh! Thank you, um...I guess the first thing I'd really like to ask is, are there really other people here...?

[ She gives him a welcoming smile. ]

Yes, there are many.

[His eyes start to water but he tries to wipe it away before they fall but he fails and stray tears fall down his cheeks]

I-I'm glad to hear that...

[ Ajhasg;asgjh

She notices those tears, and her concern for him rises. She doesn't want him to cry (she can understand why he would, if everything in his world was dead, but—).

She gives him a gentle smile, hiding any concern she has because it wouldn't help anything to show it. And then she spreads her arms apart.

Gently: ] Come here.

[He looks up at her, more tears falling since his hands aren't there to stop them. He instantly takes her offer though and hugs her tightly, nearly sobbing now.

That's right...he can hug her. She isn't a ghost, she isn't going to disappear in his grasp, no battery will decide how much longer she has left to live. She's real and alive.]

[ She places one hand on his back, and the other on his head — and she ends up petting him, stroking his hair to try and calm him down. She is here and very much alive, Seto, and she doesn't want you to worry about that anymore.

And she speaks quietly, gently, almost like a mother. ] It is all right now. There are people here — you do not have to worry any longer.

[He does calm down a little, taking a deep breath to help with that. His arms relax too so he isn't hugging as tightly.

Since he's never had a mother, this kind of attention is new to him but it is enjoyable to say the least. It's comforting. He nods, taking in that new reality] Mhmm...

[ She continues to pet, and hold his back with the other hand, moving that one up and down now to rub his back. Good boy, calm down. Be brave! ]

There, there ...

[It takes him a minute but he finally lets go of her, smiling. He rubs his eyes a little] Thank you...

O-Oh, I'm sorry, I never got your name.

[ She smiles back, glad that she was able to get him to smile. ] It was nothing at all. Please, whenever you feel you are in need of a hug, do not hesitate to ask.

[ And a pause. ] My name is Ange Serena. And you are?

[His smile brightens and he nods] Thank you very much!

It's nice to meet you Ange. My name is Seto.

[ She continues to smile. ]

It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Seto.
